Beautiful day on Angeles Crest Highway

Just got back from my ride up through ACH. It was such an awesome day. The roads had enough time to dry out had been enough traffic to clear the dust & gravel. There were just a few streams runoff, but it wasn't bad at all. On the way back down we stopped at the diner up there →

Hell yeah! Ducati here I come!

So, we're planning on going to Venice & Florence on our trip. The Ducati factory is in Bologna, which is right between the two. They do free tours of the factory and museum twice a day, six days a week. I'm going.

Last weekend to ride for a while.

Man, I'm so stoked that this weekend is nice out. Miranda and I are leaving on Wednesday for a five week trip to Europe so this is my last chance to get on my bike for a while. Yesterday I rode down to Sunset & PCH to meet up with some guys from SportBikeChat.com. We had a →

I just love this bike!

This is a Honda CB550 from the 70's that has been totally decked out as a street cafe racer. Michael has a '75 CB550 that hopefully will end up looking something like this some day...

Sweet ride!

Man, what a cool story. These two guys put together a pair of 1964/1965 Honda CB77's (305cc parallel twins) and rode them from Pacific to Atlantic and then some. One of them works for Honda NA and got the HRC involved. Took 'em just over three weeks to go coast to coast, then double back for the →

Cooper & Alicia’s Wedding in Yelapa, Mexico

Just got home from the wedding the other night. It was awesome. There were so many great people there and we had a sick time. Alicia looked absolutely gorgeous in her wedding dress. I think everybody had a great time. I put up a bunch of pictures here.

What is it with chopper guys!?

Well I finally got a weekend of riding in. The roads completely sucked, so it was a SUPER mellow ride, but at least I got out on two wheels. Last week a friend of mine (for those of you who are into SX/MX stuff, his name is Rick Johnson) who is sponsored by Alpine Stars was kind enough to hook →

The sound of success!!!

So today I installed all my cool new electrics on my chopper. I got a complete Dyna-S system including an electric ignition to replace the old points plate, and a set of high output coils. I also got stainless steel spark plug cables and oil lines. Got it all installed, hooked up the battery, fed the carbs →

Will the rain ever stop?!?

It has been WEEKS since I've had a weekend to go riding. The weather is just killing me. I was going to try to get out tomorrow, but it looks like we're getting soaked again. The worst part is that even when the rains stop it's going to take months for all the roads to be cleaned →

The brains of this operation

Sweet! I just got all the new electrics for my chopper project! I got a Dyna-S electronic ignition, a set of Dyna-S high performance ignition coils, beautiful braided steel spark plug cables, a solid state voltage regulator / rectifier, braided steel oil line, and a crankcase breather filter! Whew. It took me a long time to →

Don’t buy fur.

OK, my friends all know that I'm vegan and some of them understand why. I just got another mailer from PETA with this link. I admit, I couldn't even watch it. Chinese fur farmers skinning not yet dead animals to sell their fur for coats and trim. Normally, I don't even eat dairy because of the way those animals →

The Devil Makes Three

Miranda and I went to the Knitting Factory in Hollywood tonight to see a kick ass bluegrass/folk band called The Devil Makes Three. They came down from Santa Cruz for the show. Well worth a listen. It's not usually the kind of thing I like, but the tunes are catchy and they do it with style. They're →
