Holy crap the new Star Wars movie sucked balls! We went and saw it Tuesday night. I had high hopes because the buzz around it has been really good. On par with the first two movies they said. Right. It was the worst movie I’ve seen in a long, long time. If it hadn’t been “The last Star Wars film ever” I would have gotten up and walked out about half way through. There were plot inconsistencies, the worst acting and direction of all the films, and some of the worst dialog writing I’ve ever heard in a movie.
The big scene where Anakin turns to the Dark Side is just such a piss poor letdown. The shot of Vader emerging has him staggering around like a drunk Frankenstein’s monster shrieking “NNOOOOOOOOOO!” like out of a crappy melodrama.
They hype has won. This piece of trash is getting great reviews and people are buying it. It’s sad. Some other people have agreed with me at least.
